DULCINEA CAR

16h 2013 Selle Francais Chestnut Mare

“Dee” is a U.S.-bred mare from the North Carolina–based 3H Breeding program. She began her career under the guidance of her breeder, Fernando Cardenas, and later with top professionals including Aaron Vale, giving her a strong and thoughtful foundation from the start. Purchased as a 7-year-old by a junior rider, Dee has proven herself to be an ideal partner—confidence-building, extremely competitive, yet always safe. Bold and naturally confident, she has the scope and ability to handle anything asked of her. With her junior, she progressed from first jumper courses to earning Reserve Champion at the Zone 3 Jumper Finals and successfully competing up through the 1.25m jumpers.

Compact, scopey, and efficient, Dee is a self-propelled horse who requires very little management under saddle. She is easy to care for, needs no prep, and remains unbothered by her surroundings—whether schooling at home or stepping into a busy show environment. With her rider now into college, Dee is ready to guide her next partner. She took time away from competition after the 2024 Ocala winter season while her owner focused on college, but she is eager to return to the ring.
